Asbestos deviation at 1 in 8 Japanese lung cancer patients According to survey of 12 Japanese medical institutions in 2006 and 2007 were 1 in 8 lung cancer patients as pleural plaques or afsbestafwijkingen found thickening of the pleural. The exceptions were a CT scan, an imaging technique X-ray radiation, detected mainly in people who had worked in professions where asbestos exposure had occurred, such as construction, metal and processing industries. The number of people with asbestos-related lung cancer dies can therefore be up to several thousand per year
